Welcome to the Lions Club of Rayleigh Website.
Rayleigh Lions was created in 1974 to help people in our local area.
Since then Rayleigh Lions has donated over £1 million to charities and good causes in and around Rayleigh, Hockley, Hullbridge and Rochford.
The Lions Club of Rayleigh is part of the International Association of Lions Clubs, - the largest voluntary organisation in the world.
Over 1 million members raise and distribute funds internationally.
Our aims are simple:-
- Serving the community by providing financial assistance, hands-on involvement or organisational skills.
- Fundraising to help individuals and clubs locally and internationally
- To have fun whilst doing it
Many requests to Rayleigh Lions are for financial help. The Club maintains a Charity Fund to meet many urgent and/or worthwhile causes.
To sustain this fund the Club attends and organises several fundraising events every year, with all profits going to our Charity Fund.
The administration of the club is funded by member subscriptions only. No fundraising is used to run the club.
We are always looking for new members and volunteers.
