Rayleigh Lions Club's £500 for Bosom's Pals
The Lions Club of Rayleigh held there social meeting with guest speaker Barbara Warner, The senoir fund raising manager of Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation, who are currently raising funds for their charity Bosom pals Appeal. The Lions current President Jim Stevenson presented Barbara with a cheque for £500, towards her charity. The funs were partky from the Lions's Beer festival, also from donations they have collected throughout the year. Rayleigh Lions Annual Beer and Cider festival is becoming more and more poular, this year's event is planned to be bigger and better, with additional ciders added to the extensive selection of real ales, and entertainment on the Saturday evening with a local charity band.

The Lions Club of Rayleigh gave £500 pounds to Southend Radio's James O'Neil who is running
in the London Marathon to help raise money for Havens Hospices.
James is aiming to raise £5,00 by requesting listeners to donate just £5.
