Every year Lions Clubs International, like any other organisation or company has an annual general meeting or convention. This takes place at various locations around the world, in order to make the travel costs fair to its members who wish to attend. Because 2007 was the 90th year of Lions Clubs International, it was decided that the international convention would take place in the birthplace of Lions Clubs international, which is Chicago, Illinois, USA. You are probably thinking why there is a car pictured above. The car was in fact the Convention’s raffle prize!

As well as the International convention, Conventions are also held at district level, so Lions Clubs members who cannot travel abroad can attend their district convention instead.
